Common Questions

Is Terra a soil moisture sensor?

No. Terra provides a modeled estimate of plant water reserve based on weather, evapotranspiration, plant profile, sun exposure, and watering history. It does not directly measure soil moisture.

Why does Terra need a garden location?

Terra uses the garden location to request local weather conditions from Apple WeatherKit so it can estimate atmospheric water loss.

Does Terra collect my data?

Terra does not operate a developer server and does not sell or share user data. Plant profiles, garden locations, watering history, selected photos, and reserve estimates are stored locally on your device and/or Apple-managed app storage. Terra uses Apple WeatherKit to request weather conditions for your garden location.
