Terra Privacy Policy

Terra respects your privacy. Terra does not collect, sell, share, or track personal data through a developer-operated server.

Data Stored on Your Device

Terra stores app information locally on your device so the app can function. This may include:

• plant names and plant profiles
• garden locations selected by you
• watering history
• estimated water reserve values
• sun exposure, soil, root depth, and other plant settings
• photos you choose to add to a plant profile
• app preferences, such as units and notification settings

This information is used only to provide Terra’s plant water reserve features. Terra does not transmit this information to a developer-owned server.

Location and Weather Data

Terra uses garden location information to request local weather data from Apple WeatherKit. Weather data is used to estimate atmospheric water loss and plant water reserve.

Terra does not store your location on a developer-operated server. Garden location information is stored locally on your device and is used by the app to request weather conditions for your selected garden area.

Apple WeatherKit may process weather requests in order to provide weather data. Apple states that WeatherKit uses location information only to provide weather forecasts, does not associate it with personally identifiable information, and does not track it between requests.

Photos

Terra allows you to select photos for plant profiles. Selected photos are stored locally for use inside the app. Terra does not upload plant photos to a developer-operated server.

Notifications

Terra may send local watering notifications if you enable notifications. Notification settings are used only to alert you when a plant reaches its critical water threshold.

You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

If Terra offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, those transactions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Terra does not collect or store your payment card information.

Terra is distributed through the Apple App Store and uses Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA). By downloading or using Terra, users agree to Apple’s Standard Terms of Use.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if Terra’s features or privacy practices change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
